The events follow one another slowly and the first missions – a few hours of play all the same – are devoid of interest. ![]() ![]() If the concept of the story is frankly interesting and its basic premise really nice, we can only regret the slowness and heaviness of the beginning of the scenario. This is where the game allows itself a notable difference: Achilles does not die and wakes up ten years later, in the heart of a Greece where blood and chaos seem to reign supreme. ![]() The latter is obviously much too strong for us and he sends us – as in the original story – to the Underworld. These first steps, which take on the appearance of a tutorial, quickly lead us to meet a first boss, Hector, then a second, Paris. Here we are faced with an accelerated version of things – in the Iliad, this battle lasts 10 years – and after landing on the coast, Achilles and his men decide to take action. Your story therefore begins during the Trojan War. With such promise and such an interesting setting, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on the final version of this game which, despite its undeniable qualities, struggles to convince. An encouraging first glimpse which plunged us into the Trojan War by taking control of one of its most famous heroes: Achilles, captain of Myrmidons and warrior of immeasurable power. During our trip to Gamescom, we had the opportunity to discover the introduction to the game Achilles: Legends Untold. ![]()
